The National Museum of Medieval Art is composed by The Exhibition Hall, where are exposed he best medieval age works, both by anonymous authors and renown artists. The Fund of Museum where are stored all kinds of objects which could be restored or in the process of Restoration. This whole process is made at The Laboratories where are restored icon of the Museum or icons from other museums.

Në sallën e ekspozitës vendosen edhe ikona të paekspozuara më parë të cilat I janë nënshtruar procesit të restaurimit.

The Museum’s iconographic collection is one of the most important, with about 6.500 icons, whose quality can be compared to that present in the nearby territories belonging to the former Byzantine Empire. This precious heritage, still preserved, protected and studied in present days, can be considered as a brave action on behalf of those who allowed its preservation by creating the National Museum of Medieval Art.

The Fund Hall is divided in rooms where are placed restored and disinfected  objects not to be in contact with other untreated ones.

Në muze funksionojnë laboratorët e konservimit të objekteve muzeore, të cilët kanë
kryer procese si klasifikimin dhe perzgjedhjen e objekteve per resaturim sipas shkalles se demtimit fizik, kimik biologjik.
